Khao Chae Originally a dish that was served in the Royal courts during the hot summer months, the name is derived from how it is served.
“khao” means rice and “Chae” means to soak in water. Following the traditions of this dish, our chefs first boil the rice and then serve it soaked in icy cold jasmine scented water. An array of flavorful side dishes that perfectly complement the rice is served, including shrimp paste dumplings, stuffed sweet chili, fried shallots, caramelized dried turnip and shredded sweet pork served with salmon heang tangmo and mayong chid loi kaew.
