Can I travel to Koh Samui, Thailand?

Yes, from 15 July 2021, fully vaccinated travellers and accompanying children can travel to Koh Samui without completing mandatory quarantine under the Samui+ programme.

How long must I be vaccinated before I travel to Koh Samui?

The Samui Plus programme is a project to allow safe travel to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan or Koh Tao under specific guidelines, to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Which vaccines are accepted for travel to Koh Samui?

To travel you must be fully vaccinated with any of the vaccines approved by Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) – AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, Sinovac Biotech and Sinopharm – or any vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO)

Am I required to stay in the hotel for the full 14 nights?

For the first 7 nights you must stay at an Samui Extra Plus-approved hotel on Koh Samui. Once you have completed this stay without testing positive, you can stay at any SHA+ certified hotels on Koh Samui, Koh Phanghan or Koh Tao.

Can I travel to other parts of Thailand?

Yes, you can travel to other parts of Thailand after you spend 14 nights in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and/or Koh Tao.

Are SALA Samui Chaweng Beach Resort and SALA Samui Choengmon Beach Resort SHA+ certified hotels?

Both SALA Samui Chaweng Beach Resort and SALA Samui Choengmon Beach Resort are fully SHA+ certified resorts for stays from days 8 – 14.

Yes, all our team members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and undergo regular health screening checks.

Who pays for any COVID-19 tests that are required?
