SALA Hospitality Group wins two prestigious 2016 Wine Spectator Awards

The popular beachfront restaurants at both SALA Phuket Resort and Spa and SALA Samui Choengmon Beach have been honoured for their outstanding wine lists in the 2016 Wine Spectator’s Wine List Awards. These celebrated restaurants are recognised by the prestigious Wine Spectator along with other winners from all over the globe as top destinations for wine lovers.

Receiving the Award of Excellence distinction for the seventh consecutive year, the SALA Restaurant at SALA Phuket Resort and Spa features a variety of dining venues such as the open-air beachfront dining deck, a scenic rooftop and romantic, private beach gazebos. Guests can enjoy fine or casual dining options including an exceptional blend of mouth-watering international cuisine and scrumptious Thai delicacies. Fine wines, beer and cocktails are also available.

The SALA Restaurant at SALA Samui Choengmon Beach has earned the Award of Excellence for the fifth consecutive year. Located in an idyllic setting directly on Choengmon Beach, SALA Samui Choengmon Beach’s signature restaurant delights diners with its popular all-day breakfasts, delicious lunches and romantic seaside dinners. A full service indoor bar as well as a popular beach bar are also available, both featuring specially selected wines, imported and domestic beers and a variety cocktail and smoothies.

In 1981, Wine Spectator began its program to recognise the world’s best wine lists. There are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award with 2,414; 1,093; and 88 winners this year in each respective category. Wine Spectator magazine reaches out to more than 3 million readers worldwide.

The Award of Excellence recognises restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
